About Kalavahana

It is an essential part of our culture from ancient times. Without muttering stotras while bathing no puja is ever done. It comes from great traditions of Vedas, Srividya, and local customs. Kalavahana is designed by a scientist guru Guruji Shri. Amritananda.

Spread the Kalavahana ritual to bring awareness that “the Human Body is the place where God lives and each Human being is a Living God

Why should it be done?
  • Energy of ego is located at eyes, which observe differences.
  • Communications come from throat center. When we realize that we are all one despite differences we have better understanding.
  • Caring and love belong to heart center.
  • Sharing belongs to navel, power center. When we share with care, love expands.
  • Suppression of desires belongs to genital center.
  • Fears of loss of life, health, wealth happen at base of spine. Bringing divinity into these centers overcomes traumas.

Thus we realize that the body we live in is important. It has centers connecting to energies which can create unhappiness when divinity is not brought into them.

What problems does it solve and why?

It solves problems of Ego, Communications, Love, Power, Suppression, and Fear. Like a river when obstacles removed, Happiness flows freely. This very simple ritual lasts an hour, it can be done daily. It is the best investment you can make for Yourself.

2. Invoke divine energies into ego, communications, love, care, suppression and fear centers described above.
3. Give a sacred bath and do a small puja.

FAQ
1) We worship the Goddess. But how far is it correct to be worshipped as a Goddess ourselves?
We do wash the feet, apply haldi kumkum, and offer clothes to women during any puja saying, the doer is Lakshmi and the receiver is Lakshmi. This is a common feature in our culture.

2) How does it affect the doer and receiver? Will any negative energies come up for either of them?
No negative effects were observed during the 25000 plus kalavahanas performed. Many positive benefits have been observed.
